I don't think drivers are complaining about where the entrance fee goes, it's more that if you attend a car show anywhere else the owners of the exhibits are not charged, the public through the gate pay. This discussion has been going on for years. There will always be two sides to this. The public will not be required to donate £10, so why should the people donating their exhibits pay? It's true what has been said already, you have no show in the first place without them? I wish you luck with the show but after the cost of restoration and at 10 MPG to get cars to shows, our club members no longer patronize any shows that charge the exhibitors a fee.
I am sorry to hear you are disappointed with the booking fee, however Andy is correct as all the proceeds are going towards CHYP charity. This includes the booking fees and donations on the day.
doesnt the entrance fee go to support the chyp charity you should check your facts before you comment
I agree with Gary Cooper. We have a 1972 Triumph GT6, perfect condition. Our friends have a 1940 Buick, immaculate, very USA....We will be arriving as general public....the public have lost out, we're not paying £10 to enter. We pay to keep the cars in a condition the public like to see.
Pay to enter your car then the public attend free of charge YOU HAVE IT THE WRONG WAY ROUND . WITHOUTt THE CARS YOU WOULD HAVE NO SHOW !!!!!!!
