What can I expect at the Historic Rally Car Register Open Day?
he new season for the Historic Rally Car Register (HRCR) kicks off with this curtain raiser social event at the British Motor Museum. This year, the HRCR will pay tribute to the legendary Paddy Hopkirk; not only a superb rally driver but also the club's president for many years. The HRCR aims to have a display of several cars from throughout his career. The Hillman Imp will also be celebrated to mark 60 years of this rootes-era vehicle. If you like rallying, this event is a great chance to see some of the historic rally cars from the 1950s through to the 1980s. Visitors can explore three distinct halls: 'Speed', 'Stage' and 'Road and Tour' to find the HRCR Championship that's right for them. Meet the organisers covering each facet of historic rallying as well as like-minded members of the historic rally community. This event is also where registration for the HRCR events takes place.
